How to smell good all day:- 10 best tips

Did you know there are simple steps you can take that will help you smell good all day? In this post, I am going to be sharing 10 best tips I’ve found that will help you smell fresh and clean all day long.

No matter what you are doing throughout the day, there are things you can do that will ensure you are always smelling amazing!

Have you ever noticed that some people smell good no matter what? It actually probably is so because of the habits they practice regularly. Below you will read about the habits I recommend everyone trying out.

It’s important to note, though, that most of these tips have to do with taking care of your hair, body, clothes, and oral hygiene. You can’t exactly spritz on some perfume and make bad smells go away.

So, here are 10 great ways for how to smell good all day without a whole lot of effort!

1- Make sure to wash properly

The first step to smelling good, of course, is taking a daily shower. However, there is a wrong way to shower if you don’t pay attention to certain areas. In addition to soaping up your body, you should not forget places like behind your ears, your belly button, the spaces between your feet and your back.

Choosing a nicely scented body wash or soap and washing absolutely everywhere is going to ensure that you are squeaky clean and smelling fresh.

You should also be exfoliating your dead skin once a week or so, and a good tip is to also exfoliate your underarms. We tend to sometimes keep a lot of buildup of deodorant under there and that can be hard to wash off with just  soap.

2- Always have clean clothes on

Keeping your clothes clean is also a very basic thing, however, sometimes we get lazy and put on a shirt we have already worn before.

Now, sometimes that might be okay. For example, if you only wore a shirt for an hour and it doesn’t smell, it’s not the worst thing to re-wear it. However, you could give it some extra freshness by spraying it with a fabric refresher like this one. A couple of sprays will have your clothes smelling fresh again.

Other clothes, like undergarments, socks, and some bottoms, should be washed after every wear. These do get dirty and I would not recommend re-wearing them without washing first.

3- Eat as clean as you can

Now that we’ve taken care of your hygiene and clothes, let’s tackle body odor. People sometimes get uncomfortable talking about body odor, however, it’s a very natural and normal thing. We all have it.

The best thing you can do to smell fresh from the inside out is to limit processed foods, and to eat as many whole foods as possible.

What are whole foods? Foods that have not been processed. Chips, dips, chocolates, cheeses, cereal, and frozen dinners are some examples of processed foods. You can still enjoy them in moderation, however, it’s best to reach for whole foods on the regular.

Instead of processed foods, opt for fruit and vegetables, lean meats and fish, nuts and whole-grains. These will not only keep you feeling healthy, but they are going to not secrete that bad body odor you may experience while eating processed foods.

4- Try chlorophyll

I found out about chlorophyll water a few months ago, and the biggest change I have seen in my body was that it made my body odor completely disappear. I used to be someone who had to carry a deodorant at all times, and I’ve completely stopped.

There’s something about drinking chlorophyll that makes a lot of people’s odors go away, which is fantastic.

If you have not tried it yet, give it a try for a week and see how it goes for you. You can purchase chlorophyll here.

5- Drink water, and lots of it

Water is amazing for flushing out toxins in the body. The more you drink, the better for your overall health.

A good rule of thumb for most people is to drink about 8 glasses of water a day. If you are active, you should be drinking a little more.

Drinking water also helps you avoid dry mouth, which causes additional odors. Keep those odors at bay and drink your water. It’s good for you.

6- Choose a good perfume

Who doesn’t love a nice perfume? There are so many amazing scents you can choose from on the market, and some scents last longer on the skin than others.

I would recommend purchasing Eau De Parfum instead of Eau De Toilette, because the parfum versions always stay on the skin longer.

Some perfumes for women I would recommend that stay put on your skin for hours are:

And because I know that many of us are on a budget, I have come across an amazing website that sells replicas of some very popular perfumes at a fraction of the cost.

ALT Fragrances is the company that makes these perfumes, and they’re also vegan and cruelty-free which is amazing to see. Definitely check out ALT Fragrances for perfumes that smell JUST like popular perfumes from Tom Ford, Creed, YSL, Maison Margiela and so many more designers.

They make great gifts, and I’ve purchased a couple of Tom Ford dupes from them that smell exactly the same as the originals, but stay on the skin much longer.

You can get $5 off any purchase from ALT Fragrances using this link!

7- Don’t forget deodorant

Deodorants are not all made the same, and some don’t agree with certain people. To find the deodorant that works very well for you, you might have to try a few before landing on one which keeps you fresh all day long.

You can even keep a travel-sized deodorant on you to retouch on the go if you need to!

8- Carry deodorizer wipes everywhere

I wish I had known that these were a thing a long time ago. These wipes are amazing for wiping down any odors that might creep up during a long day.

They’re, of course, not a shower replacement. However, they are great to keep in your purse and are very convenient on the go. These come in a pack of 10 and are individually wrapped, making them perfect to put in your purse or bag.

9- Keep mint gum on you

Having fresh breath is an easy way to smell great. But once you’ve eaten something, or drank coffee, your breath might need some help staying fresh.

That’s where gum comes in handy. I personally would recommend peppermint gum, as it’s the most fresh variety of gum you could get.

If you’re very extra, or a little self-conscious about your breath, you can also carry a small travel-sized mouthwash and gargle every few hours.

10- Take a travel fragrance with you on the go

The last tip of mine on how to smell good all day long is to keep your fragrance with you on the go! Carrying the whole bottle might be too heavy and you could risk breaking it, so you can put some of that perfume in an atomizer.

This way, you can carry the scent you’ve sprayed on at home with you all day long, and spray a little throughout the day as needed.

These little atomizer bottles are super handy and I recommend every woman getting one.
