Ultimate 6 Lifestyle changes to make right now

I’m sure over the past few weeks a lot of you reading this have changed your routine in some way. Being in lockdown and also furloughed from my job has definitely made me think about my daily routine. Due to this I’ve made some lifestyle changes that I really want to take through to me when all of this ends.

You may be thinking these are going to be drastic health changes, but honestly I’m a fan of that. While I have been trying to do some form of exercise each day, I know I cannot sustain being totally healthy all day everyday. So here are my realistic lifestyle changes…

6 Lifestyle Changes to Make for after Lockdown

I’m sure over the past few weeks a lot of you reading this have changed your routine in some way. Being in lockdown and also furloughed from my job has definitely made me think about my daily routine. Due to this I’ve made some lifestyle changes that I really want to take through to me when all of this ends.

You may be thinking these are going to be drastic health changes, but honestly I’m a fan of that. While I have been trying to do some form of exercise each day, I know I cannot sustain being totally healthy all day everyday. So here are my realistic lifestyle changes…
1. Exercise in the morning

I know, I know I said it wasn going to balabout health. BUT exercise doesn’t have to always be vigorous! I love doing yoga in the morning and really feel like it starts my day perfectly. I always follow Yoga with Adrienne on youtube and I’m instantly relaxed. Another few exercises I love is to go for a walk, honestly seeing the beauty around me during lockdown has really made me appreciate where we live. Finally, if I want to do a full body work-out I will just look one up on Instagram and copy it!

2. Get Up Early

This has been getting harder to do the longer we are on lockdown. But I feel so much better when I wake up earlier and make the most of the day. I generally catch up on some social media or watch some Disney+!

3. Make your own breakfast

You might be wondering what an earth do I mean? Well, why not try and make your own granola instead of eating cereal? Or perhaps make yourself some pancakes? I always feel so good when I make my breakfast from scratch – plus there are some really good recipes out there. I particularly like BBC Good Food!

4. Stop Buying!

This lockdown has made me sit back and think about money a lot more. As previously mentioned I have been furloughed so I am only on 80% of my wage. As most of my wage goes towards paying for our house I’ve had to be creative with it comes to my blog and Instagram! I’ve realised as well that I have so many pieces of clothing that I’ve forgotten about over the months – perfect for creating new content.

5.Put your phone away

For an hour a day I’ve been putting my phone away and just relaxing with a good book. I put it on the other side of the room so I’m not tempted to look at it. Reading is a real passion of mine but I can be easily distracted.

6. Start a gratitude diary

I’ve really enjoyed writing down things that I am grateful for each day. I have tried to start a journal or a diary a lot but find it hard as my thoughts tend to be quite negative when I write them down. I think writing down what you are grateful for instead is incredibly positive.

Have you made any changes during lockdown/ self-distancing that you’re going to continue once everything is over?
